Thanks and a Happy New Year

Happy New Year readers. I would like to use today’s post to say thank you. I have received a few Christmas gifts from readers who sent me some lovely reading/writing inspired gifts. I am humbled that you did this. I wanted to start putting out something daily and plucked up the courage to do so. I will In 2021 continue (barring unforeseen circumstances), one shares with a hope it will resonate to someone, that it makes a tiny difference in someones day or causes a pause for thought. I have received some lovely words of encouragement from fellow bloggers, followers and readers over the Xmas break, those who found me via LinkedIn, which is how I tell some folks about my blog.

If like me, you are are unsure as to the good you are doing, or that your small acts make a difference, do this experiment, light a small candle set it to one side of a completely dark room and sit the other side of the room. Now you see it? ‘see how far that little candle throws his beams! so shines a good deed in a weary world‘. (Thanks William Shakespeare, an image that illuminates the point I was making perfectly).

As you go about your day today, remember that thousands of candles can be lit by a single candle, a defiant, over ambitious but solitary flame. Happiness never decreases by being shared so don’t hold back in sharing in 2021.

Happy new year to you all.
