About me

My name is Nathan Chestney-Stagg, the full name is quite a mouthful so most that know me call me NCS. I am a husband to a beautiful wife, and father to two grown up children. The Walt Whitman line I try to live by is be curious, not judgemental — it’s the closest thing I have to a motto, and most of what I write here is an attempt to live up to it.

What I do;

I am the European Vice President of Services for Veeva Systems. Outside of work, I love to read more than anything else, I love chess but am quite awful at it, and I swim as a means to relax and exercise. I also collect postage stamps — but only ones with lighthouses on them, where philately meets pharology (if you know, you know). I’m the southern central representative of the Association of Lighthouse Keepers, and a paid-up member of the P.G. Wodehouse Society, which probably tells you more about my taste in prose than anything else on this page.

Where I live;

My main home is in Basingstoke, UK. I also spend family time at our little holiday home on Lancing beach. It is also where I built this little yellow beach hut. She is my pride and joy, a little shed by the sea. Where I do a lot of thinking and writing.
