Two thieves both called regret

Saturday morning down the beach hut is a day of reflection for me, a day I look back and try and see the week just passed at arms length. It is important to learn and try and improve but also not to beat yourself up too much. Regrets for the week past on events and how you did in that moment are not helping you.

Do you live with regret? Do you find regrets prevent you from making the best decisions tomorrow? The creeping voice in your head, regrets about yesterday’s decisions that hurt your tomorrow. You can use those foibles as fuel, pushing you to action.

  • “I wish I’d done better in that project”
  • “I should have said what I felt on that idea in the meeting.”
  • “I could be a better friend.”

Forgive yourself, it’s crippling your future and the regrets you’re carrying around are keeping you from being your true authentic self tomorrow. If you are going to fall, then fall forwards always – Happy Saturday, Be Great NCS

Many of us crucify ourselves between two thieves – regret for the past and fear of the future.
