I have been talking with those I mentor about their careers recently and how talented the people are where I work. However I find that the word talent over used and far too simplistic and if anything an excuse to simplify how we differentiate people.
I have for over a decade now had a list of 10 things you can all do today which will make a missing talent less of a factor in your lives.
- Being on time
- Work ethic
- Effort
- Body Language
- Energy
- Attitude
- Passion
- Being coachable
- Doing extra
- Being prepared
Having energy requires zero talent, but I feel like it’s a genetic thing, lol. I myself have been low-energy all my life, despite eating healthy, exercising, as well as ditching coffee and alcohol. I wish I could find the fix for this. Thanks for this list btw!
