I am off to bed without knowing the result of the Superbowl but regardless of the result it will be a good day for Quarterback Tom Brady. Who must surely be seen as the greatest of all time now? It pains me to say it but well, you have to recognise greatness.
Why I mention this is today is I have on my desk a wonderfully inspiring quote/excerpt of text. It’s not a quote by Twain, or some rhetoric by Lincoln, its not even a folksy inspiration by my hero Ben Franklin. The most inspiring text I have on my desk is below and it simply says:
- Poor Build
- Skinny
- Lacks great physical stature and strength
- Lacks mobility
- Lacks a really strong arm
- Can’t drive a team down the field
Why is this inspiring? This is what is reported to be on Quarterback Tom Brady’s NFL combine report! (how they assess prospects to the NFL), the so called ‘tangibles’ which so many decisions are made, but it doesn’t measure, intangibles, like heart, spirit, determination and courage and just sometimes that can mean a whole lot more.
Remember this, If you want a thing bad enough to go out and fight for it, to work day and night for it, to give up your time, your peace and sleep for it… if all that you dream and scheme is about it, YOU WILL GET IT!
