Contradictions make us who we are

I hate social media but I love attention
I love being smart but I hate show offs
I hate social status but love airport lounges

I love driving safely, but hate when others do
I hate to be judged, but love literary criticism
I love fancy cars but hate ostentation

None of the above make any sense on its own. It is an embarrassment of contradictions. We are not robots. Even the most balanced of us has quirky aspects which jar the observer. It’s ok, it’s human and it need not make any sense. It’s acceptable to sometimes to not make sense, we are all a work in progress.

reader of great literature, teller of tales, photographer of mostly awful snaps but on occasion I am half decent.
