Delaying your best is foolish

People talk about their next role they hope to get, the next company they plan to work for the next project they want to be assigned to. Those aspirations are worthy but it can be an often an excuse to not send in your best today.

You have a project or role you are assigned to that is not quite what you hoped. But whatever you have on your plate right now, that is what you should be doing your best at.

Sorry coach, I will give my all tomorrow!

Delaying your best for the next thing, that perfect project is cheating yourself. You should work on the thing at hand as best as you can. Dream opportunities don’t fall in your lap, you have to make them happen and you make it happen by doing your best today.
