Thinking near the sea

A two week break from work at our holiday home next to the beach has been awesome, there is no better place to reflect than to sit and think in, near or on water.

I don’t know why but I think better near a body of water. It fires the imagination, it provides a landscape that always changes, it serves as constant display of energy and the elements.

JFK the assassinated President of the USA wrote this and I think it’s beautiful:

All of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea — whether it is to sail or to watch it — we are going back from whence we came.
