A rising tide lifts all boats

It seems some days there is not even enough time to manage your own workload without the idea of helping another but that is what I am suggesting you do this week.

Reach out to someone and ask them how you can help them, helping can be as little as listening and offering advice. How much of our daily workload and pressure can be lightened by a colleague simply asking, ‘How can I help you today?’ My granddad Dennis always taught me, ‘we rise by lifting others’

Ask a colleague how they are doing? then when the person says “I am fine” or “I am ok” say “no, seriously how are you doing?” and see if that simple invitation to share is what they needed.

I am eating my own dog food today, (what an awful expression) I mean to say, I am taking my own advice. Today I am off work on PTO to help a friend. Not to show off on here, (ooh look at me helping people) help someone because it is the right thing to do, the kind thing to do and you get better equally by helping.

A hearty handshake from me to you
