Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd

It is one week into my new role and I have lots to learn and lots of decisions to make. The time for listening and reflection should never last too long before action is needed. however, it is easy to get caught up in the action, execution mindset and not see and value the joy of doubt, the moments for thought which we all need to lay the foundation for action.

I firmly believe that if you’re not having any second thoughts at all, it’s probably because you’re not thinking it through enough. The privileged position of the true believer is that there’s no room for judgment. For the rest of us, misgivings are a sign that you’re carefully considering the problem at hand. Take your time and think it through, not too long but give it the time the problem and you deserve.

Doubts are good, confusion is excellent, you questioning life is the right thing, it shows you are engaged. Everything I have just described is showing you are seeking wisdom, you are actively expanding your mind.

Hearty handshakes from me to you.
