Falling is not failing

Lessons are everywhere in life, even in teaching kids to ride a bicycle.

You hold the seat. You run beside them. You shout encouragement.
They wobble. They fall. You steady. You let go.

They ride on before falling. As they hit the ground, the realization hits you.

This is what they’ll always need.
The right amount of Support and Freedom.
Sometimes more of one, sometimes the other — rarely both at once.

It’s true in families.
It’s true in teams.

The hard part isn’t knowing when to help.
The hard part is trusting them when they ask you not to.

Letting go isn’t the end of caring.
It’s the beginning of belief.

yes, they might fall.
But they’ll remember who ran beside them.
