Forget the scoreboard

As the coach of football teams I would always tell my players to always play like it’s 0-0. I wanted the players to not let the current state of play impact the game plan and their actions.

I would then apply that philosophy to the entire season. If you want to extend your winning streak, don’t pay attention to the league table. If you want to break your losing streak, don’t look at the league table win/loss column.

You need to trust the process, believe in your strategy. You need to forget about these temporary measures, just concentrate on the hard work and intelligent planning necessary for your mission of continual improvement.

You will achieve more when you stop looking at the scoreboard.
